I have tried to stay away from the Lego Digital Designer. Don’t look at me like that, I had damn good reasons! The feel of playing with actual Legos is still the best way to experience them…
Well, it turns out I can have a whole big goddamn pile of fun with the virtual aspect of Lego creation as well. The folks building the software have made leaps and bounds, I distinctly remember LDD being kind of a steaming pile a couple years ago. It still takes a good amount of time to get used to, but I didn’t find any of the turn offs that I ran into last… decade… when I tried to use it. Jeez… that may not even have been the Digital Designer now that I think about it…
